Garden Victory
Just last week I was conversing with an online friend via her Facebook wall- she was asking whether it was tacky to put a vegetable garden in her front yard, as it was the place she gets the most light. I told her I have a garden in my front yard. I've had no trouble with vandalism; no one has complained. Then I mentioned- Hey, are your neighbors old enough that you can call it a Victory Garden? Maybe they'd like that.
I don't know why I can't have the foresight to act on these impulses.

Sow seeds for spring planting LOLOL........May here if we want to cover. After Memorial Day if we want to be safe from frost.
Oh honey, not OUTSIDE yet! LOL.... but it's time to sow seed indoors for transplanting!
I am thinking of making a small cover with PVC pipe and plastic sheeting, to turn my square foot garden boxes into little mini greenhouses.
I really am still kicking myself for not starting lettuces, spinach, broccoli and herbs in September, though. I still have a parsley doing just fine, although I lost all my basil.

we've never had a garden before, but are seriously contemplating one this year...will be interesting to see how it goes!
